• Working with others and interacting with kids
• Learning about portrait photography
• Learning to operate Canon DSLR 70D, 80D and newer
• Working a combination of outdoor and indoor photo shoots in a new environment every day
• Part-time hours Monday through Friday

Job Summary:

This entry level role, in conjunction with the Picture Day Lead, the photographer will deliver the brand promise of School Portraits by Adams Photography: ensuring all contacts have a successful, enjoyable and fun picture day. The photographer will operate as part of a team, contributing to successful and punctual setup, operation and teardown at every photography job.

Essential Duties:

• Smile, it is part of the job! You smile, they smile!
• Travel to a variety of schools throughout San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange and LA Counties for outdoor and indoor Picture Day Photography Events.
• Engage with students using a relational approach to capture smiles while following company provided training techniques and guidelines.
• Greet and build rapport with coworkers, school personnel and students.
• Achieve company portrait quality standards by implementing instructions provided during training and coaching.

Required skills/abilities include:

• Ability to regularly commute to a variety of Picture Day events in multiple counties (Orange, LA, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties)
• Willingness and ability to be trained
• Ability to build fast rapport with others
• Ability to be trained to set up and deconstruct camera stations
• Ability to operate simple mechanical devices (tripods, stands etc)
• Dependable, willing and able to work as part of a team
• Regular and timely attendance, punctuality is a must!
• Ability to be regularly exposed to flashing lights

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Successful experience in a customer-facing environment
• Experience in a school photography/portrait business (Preferred but not required)
