The of the Field Operator is to preform operational task in the field to support the Control Room Operator and Operations Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

• Complete area workplace exams for process areas as directed by the Shift Supervisor
• Monitor, adjust and troubleshoot process equipment as directed by the control room
• Responsible for inventory and management of stock in the Kanban systems for consumable equipment related items; screens, balls, boots etc.,
• Responsible for autonomous maintenance of process equipment including assisting maintenance with preventative maintenance task
• Responsible for timely process sampling and submission of samples to the lab for testing
• Responsible for general housekeeping of process areas
• Assist in railcar movement, staging and management as directed by the supervisor
• Assist in troubleshooting packaging equipment
• Cross train in the Control Room and Perlite
• Other duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor

• Experience, Knowledge, Skills Required
• Ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
• Computer skills – experience with Barcom and IFS
• Ability to work with a high degree of independence.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (multi-tasking skills a must).
• Pay attention to quality and detail.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
