Sodexo is seeking a Field Marketing Specialist for San Francisco State University located in San Francisco, CA. SF State is a major public urban university, situated in one of the world’s great cities. Building on a century-long history of commitment to quality teaching and broad access to undergraduate and graduate education, the University offers comprehensive, rigorous, and integrated academic programs that require students to engage in open-minded inquiry and reflection.

This position will plan, execute and communicate out the marketing activities at SFSU and provide support to the onsite team. This person will also take on stretch assignments to help neighboring accounts as needed. The ideal candidate can deploy programs to foster growth, communications, and student engagement. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required, along with a "can do" attitude. Experience in sales or marketing, specifically for hospitality, is a plus.


The successful candidate will:

  • Lead marketing efforts on-site and facilitate deployment and communications with the local team and any marketing interns. They will also work with other managers, clients, the district manager, and vice president in all matters relating to marketing to help establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship.
  • Be responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all marketing activities throughout the enterprise through managers, supervisors, and frontline employees

  • strong computer skills, with a preference for experience with Scala;

  • client relationship skills and the ability to quickly respond to client and management needs;
  • the ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage workload; and / or
  • contract food services experience (preferred).
