Field Clerk Job at Hampton Roads Connector Partners
Hampton Roads Connector Partners JV (HRCP) consisting of Dragados, VINCI, and Flatiron has been selected to construct the $3.8bn Design Build project –the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
The project scope across a 9 mile section of the I-64 will include: a new 3.5-mile bridge-tunnel crossing that will accommodate a total of 8 lanes of capacity across the water, replacement of the existing marine approach bridges and the addition of a third lane on I-64 in each direction. The twin 45’ diameter 1.5-mile tunnels will be bored by TBM, creating the second largest TBM tunnel opening for a TBM in North America. The project is expected to continue to the end of 2025.
Overview:
This position is responsible for processing daily, weekly, and monthly data tracking information. The position requires a good working knowledge of Microsoft office software and the ability to read, interpret, compile, input, and analyze data.
Responsibilities:
- Assist area team Engineers/Managers with submittals, quantity tracking, reports, progress logs, and project photos.
- Receive, organize, file, and maintain documents and data on an online database (SharePoint).
- Process PO Requests from Sharepoint
- Submit Orders
- Prepare Excel worksheets, compile files and prepare data analysis tables.
- Create, update, validate and forward various forms of email communication to internal and external recipients
- Assist with vendors and subcontractors.
- Assist with field operations as necessary
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior work-related experience
- Ability to organize workload to determine priority of duties
- Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must have strong computer skills, and capability to communicate clearly by email
- Ability to follow instructions
- Strong use of excel for tracking and data analysis.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask throughout the day.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated proficiency in: Word, Excel, outlook, adobe pro, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Strong organizational skills and very detailed-oriented.
- Proactive and solution oriented.
- Must demonstrate exceptional judgment, discretion, and professional courtesy.
