Field Assistant/Assistant Grower
Wedding and special events florist seeking experienced growers and field assistants.
Breezy Hill Blooms, LLC is a flower farm and event florist, our farmer-florist business model is very unique. We’re looking for a Field Assistant/Grower for the 2023 season.
Our main season runs March - December, busiest in growing during February - July and again in October. We have other job openings with their own busy season such as ‘Freelance Floral Designer’ ‘Wedding Event Coordinator - Remote’ ‘Farm Market Assistant’ and ‘Delivery Driver’
This is a freelance position, offering no full-time benefits.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Growing/Planting/Farm work or equivalent educational course/certification
- Work Authorization Paperwork
- Ability to work independently and effectively within time window
- Willingness to learn technique and growing knowledge
- Ability to maintain quality control throughout job
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to kneel, squat, lift above head, throughout our fields of uneven ground with appropriate apparel/footwear for the length of the job
- Experience with pliers, basic tools, shovels, and cultivating (preferred)
- Internship status available, working toward a 2-4yr degree in Design/Horticulture/Floriculture/Production/Agriculture or equivalent (preferred)

- Temporary position, Part-Time
- Seeking 10-30 hours per week as job demands
- Starting at $15-18 per hour, depending on availability, performance and experience
