Family Nurse Practitioner - Family Medicine (Yorktown Clinic)
IU Health is hiring! We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our supportive and collaborative Family Medicine team in Yorktown, IN!
- Full-time
- No call or weekends
- 100% outpatient
- Team includes 4 physicians and 1 NP
- All ages, newborn to geriatric
- Onsite pharmacy, lab, and radiology
- Procedures include cryotherapy, IUD placement/removal, and joint injections
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess health status through obtainment of relevant health history and comprehensive physical exam, preventative screening, and identification of medical risk factors.
- Formulate appropriate differential diagnosis and identification of individual, family, and community needs.
- Develops treatment plan to maximize the health potential of the individual, family, and/or community.
- Orders and adjusts medication per collaborative written agreement and prescriptive authority in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, or in consultation, and with signature of physician.
- Provide prompt and professional medical attention to patients without regard to race, creed, color, gender, national or ethnic origin, age, or disability.
- Expands and maintains professional knowledge through continuing medical education.
Qualifications:
- FNP certification/board eligibility required
- 2+ years of Family Medicine experience preferred
- Open to new graduates
