Job Description:

This Advanced Practice Provider will join North and South Meridian Clinics located in Meridian, Idaho.

As a Family Medicine APP, you will provide care to patients from newborn to geriatric. Care will vary from acute and chronic care visits, well visits to complicated encounters. Our clinic serves a widely varied patient population, and we provide care both in person and through video visits.

Some of the chronic conditions you will treat include: Diabetes, hypertension, congestive heart failure, chronic kidney disease, COPD/Asthma, Depression/Anxiety, Sleep apnea, GERD/IBS, stroke/TIA, Anemia, childhood illness, acute injuries, along with preventive care. You may be asked to support basic procedures in clinic, such as biopsies or casting, as trained to do so.

This position is salaried with performance incentives, and fully benefits-eligible, which includes generous continuing medical education funds to support you in your growth as an APP.

To be successful in this position, we highly prefer an APP with a background in Primary Care management.

Job Essentials

Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are accountable for the provision of patient care at the top of licensure, within their scope of practice. Licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as:

  • Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
  • Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
  • Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;
  • Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
  • Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
  • Consultation with other healthcare providers;
  • Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
  • Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.

Advanced Practice Providers may also participate in research, utilize evidence-based practice to improve quality patient care, protocol development, care process model development, and best practice standards for assigned patient population throughout our organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).

- and -

Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

- and -

Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.

- and -

Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.

- and -

BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.

- and -

Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).

Physical Requirements:

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- and -
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- and -
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- and -
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).

May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$52.97 - $81.74
