The incumbent is responsible for performing general cleaning and labor relating to NCHC facilities in compliance with OSHA guidelines and in accordance with NCHC guidelines for environments of care. The incumbent may also be required to provide minor repairs to fixtures inside and outside of facility. The incumbent must be able to work evenings, weekends and outside under various weather conditions. All employees of NCHC are responsible to perform their job practicing good risk management, quality assurance, and delivering excellent internal and external customer service.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following as well as other duties that NCH may assign. Reasonable accommodations may be made to assist individuals to perform the essential duties of this job.

  • General warehousing activities that include the storage, movement, and distribution of boxes, cartons, equipment, furniture, and fixtures including transfers between health centers
  • Assemble and repair all office furniture, medical equipment, and fixtures as needed
  • Clean and maintain lawn and grounds including parking area and sidewalk as needed
  • Cleans and sanitizes floors, exam rooms, offices, lobbies, corridors and bathrooms as needed.
  • Refills toilet tissue, hand towels, soap and hand sanitizer dispensers, and eyewash stations.
  • Gathers and disposes of medical waste appropriately in compliance with OSHA requirements
  • Cleans and sanitizes furniture, exam tables, and fixtures as needed.
  • Clean and sanitize telephones and other equipment as requested.
  • Maintains trash receptacles ensuing containers are emptied and cleaned, and trash is disposed as needed.
  • Performs high dusting as needed
  • Replaces light bulbs as needed
  • Repairs ceiling light fixtures as needed
  • Repair ceiling tiles as needed.
  • Repair sinks, cabinets, and minor leaks as needed
  • Regulate Heating/Air Condition system as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
