The Facility Maintenance Manager, or FMM will manage and coordinate all maintenance-related activities of a non-automated facility while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The facility maintenance manager must be a self-starter and ready to hit the ground running. This role will typically work Monday - Friday, around 10 hours per day, and will need to be available for emergencies outside of normal working hours (weekends and evenings).
The FMM needs to be well-versed and experienced in all aspects of maintenance and mechanical work to provide mentorship and occasional training to maintenance technicians.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Implement and ensure compliance with all fire, safety, risk, environmental and health and safety programs
  • Manage, plan and, schedule maintenance workload leveraging the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Collaborate with facility General Manager to develop and ensure adherence to annual budgets for labor and materials. Review monthly utility reports, discuss results, and provide creative solutions to achieve energy management
  • At automated facilities, collaborate with General Manager to create schedule for planned maintenance events and work directly with all automation vendors during the hardware and software commissioning process
  • Provide recommendations on future capital expenditure projects for the assigned building and ensure timely completion
  • Manage all site-specific projects for energy efficiency studies conducted in collaboration with the Lineage Energy Management department

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guidance on the design and management of future building or automation project work in collaboration with Network Optimization

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Previous facility maintenance management experience including resource planning

  • Electrical maintenance and repairs experience

  • Mechanical maintenance and repairs experience

  • Pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance and repairs experience

  • Preferred: Experience working on and around ammonia refrigeration

  • Highly Preferred (not required): Ammonia training and certification(s), such as Operator 1

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Process Safety Management and Risk Management Plan regulatory requirements, program implementation, and compliance oversight

  • Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical and electrical fundamentals and applications

  • Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

  • Preferred: Experience using eMaintenance (CMMS)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity

  • Experience with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) - following and/or drafting

  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Program, Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) knowledge

  • Experience with Capital projects, budget management, working with vendors, clients, and customers.

  • Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites while wearing PPE

  • Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud

  • Available for emergencies - will be on-call outside of normal working hours.
