WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
You will become a member of our site Maintenance Team which includes five Facilities Associates, a Facilities Supervisor and Site Facilities Manager. With a Safety focused mindset and under minimum supervision from the Maintenance Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations assigned to the four buildings onsite.

You consider yourself a multitasker and have strong organizational skills, that will guide you in performing all aspects of commercial and industrial building maintenance. In addition to, handling limited grounds maintenance as assigned, including but not limited to preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency repair and snow removal.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Perform plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry and grounds keeping tasks as needed
- Troubleshoot & moderate repairs to HVAC/RTU units
- Assisting with projects such as reconfiguring buildings, moving office space, and other facilities functions
- Assist with the inventory and maintenance of existing assets and equipment
- Complete all documentation for work performed, in a timely manner
- Respond to emergency call-ins (on scheduled days) during storms or natural disasters that require grounds to be cleared of debris, snow or ice
- Basic Building Maintenance functions such as the repair of equipment; building mechanical troubleshooting and repair; grounds keeping and renovations; and other duties as assigned.
- Interact with various levels within the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Continuing education or vocational training preferred
- 3+ years related experience
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and other repair work
- Reliable and predictable attendance
- Position will be required to work a varied on-call schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Present a positive, professional image
- Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented
- Strong interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- You have good overall knowledge and ability to perform tasks related to building trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry and grounds keeping
- Ability to use basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, hand, and electric powered tools.
- Must be capable of working with and operating ladders, man lifts, forklifts, and other types of equipment
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to receive and respond to work assignments in both formats
- Ability to communicate the English language both spoken and written. Ability to converse in Spanish is a plus
- Read, comprehend, and work from plans and operating instructions
- Follow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population
- Detail orientation with a mindset towards meeting CPI’s high standards for maintenance of facilities
- Demonstrates time management skills including multi-tasking and the ability to meet deadlines
- Keep written and computerized records and prepare reports. Utilize job related computer software (email, work planning, timekeeping) at an effective proficiency level
- Works independently with limited supervision, interacting effectively with and quickly gaining the respect and support of facilities and CPI staff
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
