ABOUT THE JOB:

You will work with a team to read and verify all shop drawings used for production in order to cut, layout, assemble all custom structural products.

YOUR ROLE:

• Fabricate aluminum projects, in alignment with the production schedule
• Verify glass sizes for any structural project
• Verify all accessory cutlists are correct and that all accessories have been, or will be, fabricated and/or delivered on time
• Complete all changes to drawings, and submit for field copy
• Safely operate and maintain all equipment used in fabrication, including tools, large saws, and punch/drill presses
• Manufacture high quality structures in a safe manner, which meets or exceeds specific efficiency goals
• Utilize construction calculator to compute all angles
• Visually check parts and/or glass for scratches, dings, and dents prior to assembly
• Proactively communicate when your jobs are ahead or behind schedule
• Provide feedback, as needed, to help the team standardize details and assembly drawings
• Follow all necessary procedures for glass handling, including proper operation of the overhead crane when needed
• Handle and lift all material carefully to minimize scratches to material surrounding job carts
• Notify the Lead team member/Supervisor of any issues encountered (missing subcomponents, damaged material, etc.)
• Provide suggestions for continuous improvement within the department

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis is required
• Ability to complete advanced mathematical calculations required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Blueprint Reading experience preferred
• Custom Fabrication experience preferred
• Ideal candidates will have related product assembly experience
