Extended Day Program Staff Job at Diocese of Arlington Catholic Schools

This position is ideal for a high school student, college student, or recent college graduate interested in working with children or exploring teaching as a potential career.
- 7:00 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. in the mornings, Monday-Friday when school is in session
- 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the afternoons, Monday-Friday when school is in session
Available Positions:
We are looking to fill one Part-Time Position. That individual would work the following times each week:
- Afternoons from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (3-5 days per week)
- Staff may need to arrive a little before and/or after program hours.
We are also looking for a few individuals to serve as occasional substitutes when the regular EDC staff may not be available. Work hours could include morning and/or afternoon shifts as detailed above.

Your Role:
You will be an important part of the Extended Day Care (EDC) team, and will assist with supervising children in grades K-8 (ages 5-13). You will assist the program director and assistant director with EDC activities and supervision, including:
- helping to set up tables and activities for students before their arrival, and cleaning and putting away all materials at the end of the shift
- helping with snack
- supervising children during free-play and homework time
- following all program requirements for signing children in and out, ensuring students are following the school’s COVID-19 Mitigation Health Plan (available at stmark.org/school)
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Experience working with and supervising elementary-aged children (ages 5-13)
- Ability to collaborate with the program director and assistant director
- Experience working in a youth program setting (vacation Bible school, summer camp, assisting with a summer swim program, etc.)
