Export Control Manager, Compliance and Projects – Civil Aerospace
Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid working if local) or Remote work from home
As an Export Control Manager for Civil Aerospace, you will primarily support compliance focused tasks. In this role you will liaise with and influence stakeholders within the Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace and Export Control communities while identifying and resolving North America regional and global export control compliance, licensing and sanctions compliance issues.

This position reports to the Deputy Head of Sanctions & Export Control – Civil Aerospace. The Export Control Manager, Compliance and Projects – Civil Aerospace (the ECM) will work closely with Civil Aerospace leadership in Indianapolis and Reston and the Rolls-Royce North America Sanctions and Export Control Head Office in Reston, VA and Indianapolis, IN. The ECM will also liaise regularly with the Head of Export Control – Civil Aerospace, the Export Control Managers for Civil Aerospace outside the U.S. and the Sanctions and Export Control Head Office in the UK.

Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the implementation and management of a sanctions compliance program for all businesses within Civil Aerospace.
- Ensure all sanctions and export processes are managed and incorporated into the company Rolls-Royce Management System (RRMS).
- Maintain all templates and tools required to support Civil Aerospace business export licensing.
- Coordinate with RRNA Head Office Lead Auditor and conduct internal compliance assessments and lead the implementation of any corrective actions stemming from non-compliance.
- Manage and lead improvement projects or initiatives and ensure processes and tools are in place for data management.
- Coordinate with RRNA Head Office Trade Compliance Manager in monitoring regulatory changes to US sanctions and export control and lead the review/analysis of the impact to as well as a measured response for the Civil Aerospace business.
Basic Requirements:
- Associate degree with 7+ years of experience in export control and sanctions compliance or Rolls-Royce project management, commercial, legal, quality or compliance, OR
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in export control and sanctions compliance or Rolls-Royce project management, commercial, legal, quality or compliance, OR
- Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in export control and sanctions compliance or Rolls-Royce project management, commercial, legal, quality or compliance, OR
- JD/PhD, OR
- 9+ years of experience in export control and sanctions compliance or Rolls-Royce project management, commercial, legal, quality or compliance in lieu of degree
- In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous experience working within or implementing sanctions and/or export control compliance programs
- General understanding of EU, UK, and/or other international export control regulations
- Experience working in the Aerospace industry
- Basic understanding of gas turbine engine technology
- Ability to communicate effectively
