We are an AAHA accredited Cat Friendly Practice looking for a veterinary nurse/veterinary technician to join our team. We are a full service hospital offering general and emergency pet care, surgery, dentistry, boarding and grooming. Responsibilities include the following:

--prepare, present, and explain treatment plans

--restrain pets for preventative care and treatment

--prepare and administer vaccines and other injections

--collect fecal/ear/blood samples and analyze

--enter laboratory results and detailed medical notes using computerized practice management software

--perform in house imaging including digital radiographs, dental radiographs, and ultrasound

--place IV catheters

--perform jugular and saphenous blood draws

--prepare pets for surgery and monitor anesthesia

--perform dental cleanings on anesthetized pets

--prepare surgical packs

--care for hospitalized patients

--maintain maintenance logs

--order hospital supplies

--educate clients on various aspects of pet healthcare including flea & heartworm prevention, dental health, vaccine reactions, administration of medications and psychological well being

--daily cleaning duties

--help out in pet resort and reception as needed

Working hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm, and Saturdays 8AM until 12PM with kennel rotation every other Sunday. Holiday and weekend work is required.
