This role has four primary components: Managing the day to day communication coming out of the Director's office with regards to postal service, email, and social media; manage scheduling, travel arrangements, and other planning activities for the Director; provide support to the Director's administrative team which may include but is not limited to data entry, filing, and other activities as needed; and coordinating the development of reports and newsletters coming out of the Director's office, including but not limited to the Weekly UMKC IHD Highlights newsletter, the National Information and Reporting System (NIRS) reports, and others as needed.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage day-to-day communication out of the Director's office.
- Letters, email, and social media.
- Point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners
- Serve as the assistant to the Director of IHD including managing his calendar and scheduling, making hotel and travel arrangements for conferences, and performing other tasks as needed.
- Provide support to the Director's administrative team which may include but is not limited to data entry, filing, transcription, note-taking, and other activities as needed.
- Coordinate the development of reports and newsletters coming out of the Director's office, including but not limited to the Weekly UMKC IHD Highlights newsletter, the National Information and Reporting System (NIRS) reports, and others as needed.
- Purchase all software and hardware for the Institute and its employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with individuals who have an intellectual or developmental disability.
- Ability to manage Social Media accounts for an organization or individual.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Powerpoint, and Word), Qualtrics, and RedCap.
- Experience writing/editing letters, newsletters, and/or reports.
Full Time/Part Time
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position.
Salary
$19.23 - $23.80 per hour; commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
