Event Specialist (Part-Time) Job at Reclaim13
Reclaim13 is a 501(c)(3) agency dedicated to ending the cycle of sexual exploitation and operates several specialized programs aimed at bringing healing to survivors.
Reclaim13 is seeking an engaging and experienced Part-Time Events Specialist to oversee the strategic planning, marketing and execution of Reclaim13 events.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required from an accredited college or university.
Additional Requirements:
- 2 years event management experience
- 2 years experience with event software programs
- 1 year experience overseeing live auctions and silent auctions
- Ability to engage and manage volunteers
- Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Powerpoint, Word, Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Successful completion of all requirements by the Department of Child and Family Services, including background screening and eligibility to transport children. All DCFS requirements must be kept current and updated during all times of employment in order to serve in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for strategically creating, planning and executing events that will raise funds and boost awareness of Reclaim13
Works with marketing staff to promote Reclaim13 events, including coordination of virtual/technical components for any online or hybrid events
Assists in the recruitment, management, and training of event volunteers
Responsible for creating and planning event itineraries and program content
Responsible for securing live and silent auction packages
Manages relationships and secures contracts with event vendors
Ensures that donors, volunteers, and outside vendors are properly thanked for their services following events
Responsible for post event follow up with silent and live auction winners, vendors, donors, and guests
Works with partners, volunteers, board members, etc. to plan and execute Parties With A Purpose (PWP)
Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20,000.00 - $25,000.00 per year
