Specific Job Knowledge and Skills:

The core Duties & Responsibilities of an Event Bartender/Server:

Responsible for serving menu items to guests in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner and according to hotel specifications and group requirements. To serve our guests in accordance with Marriott standards of Food and Beverage quality, presentation and sanitation in a gracious and professional manner. To take pride in all aspects of service, quality, appearance and cleanliness towards yourself and your area of responsibility.

• To prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Set up bar, icing bins, glassware, juices and garnish.
• Accept drink orders from Event Operations Servers in proper calling order to keep bar service at an optimum level of service for our guests.
• All cocktails are to be made in accordance with Marriott standard recipes and/or Old Mr. Boston Bar Guide using the standard jigger at all times.
• Request additional alcohol as needed.
• Serve guests promptly, hospitably and efficiently
• Event Bartender will mop floors, wash floor mats, collect and dispose of garbage, complete general sanitation to include speed rails, counters, melting ice bins and wiping all stainless.
• Have available the Marriott standard recipes, beverage department standard operating procedures, sanitation checklist and other relevant paperwork and forms.
• Be able to operate the Point of Sales (POS) equipment.
• Comply with cash handling policies and procedures.
• Comply with Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) laws.
• Comply with sanitation, health and safety regulations.
• Follow procedures to take guests order.
• Know proper beverage, liquor and wine service.

The Desired Qualifications are:

· Must be or have the ability to be TIPS certified.

· Must be or have the ability to be Food Safety certified.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required.

Hotel and Event Bartender/Server experience desired.

Language Skills:

· Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: Read & understand the English language.
