This role will assist in the development of Virtual Trader at Cigna. Virtual Trader is a third-party application that specializes in Intercompany Accounting (Transactions, Reconciliation, and Settlement). The position requires a unique combination of business knowledge and technical skills, to create efficiencies and provide recommendations to the business. This role will have ownership of specific configurations within Virtual Trader and collaborate with the project team to make design/process recommendations. It will be important to participate in project management activities to drive critical intercompany activities. The person in this role will become a product owner of Virtual Trader and will participate in enterprise projects that impact Intercompany Accounting.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with IT and project leads to ensure business requirements are understood
Communicate with production accounting teams to understand and document existing intercompany accounting processes
Analyze and propose solutions for revised processes that utilize technology to make accounting more efficient and accurate
Utilize project management tools and techniques to organize activities and drive work to completion while understanding timing, scope, and impact on production team resources
Configure Virtual Trader for new requirements (setting up Legal Entities, Transaction Types, Data Collectors, Settlements, etc.)
Produce training materials and deliver training to production accounting teams as part of project delivery
Perform testing of revised systems and process changes to ensure seamless deployment of transformed solutions
Provide production support for Virtual Trader
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
5+ years professional work experience with bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or other relevant degree
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle Financials) or Oracle Cloud Financials
Experience with analyzing business requirements and implementing changes for accounting systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Able to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions.
Experience collaborating and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to respond to and prioritize changing demands
Proven ability to function in a heavily matrixed environment
This position can be work from home or located at the following locations with a hybrid in office/work from home arrangement: Bloomfield, CT; Philadelphia, PA or St Louis, MO
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 82,900 - 138,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
