Reports to: Director of Human Services and Housing Initiatives Program/Department: ERAP
Classification: Exempt Date: 12/15/22

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The major function of the Program Coordinator is to manage the day-to-day operations of the Welcoming Center (WC) in the Belmont- Cragin community and The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). The Program Coordinator will be responsible for providing daily oversight of both programs as well as providing support, guidance, direction, and resources to the staff. The Program Coordinator is the main contact for the program and reports directly to the Program Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the Welcoming Center and Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
- Responsible for supervising, training, and supporting case managers in the day-to-day operations of the program in addition to developing and learning programmatic policies and procedures.
- Conducts follow-up and assists the Program Director in communicating with community partners about the WC program.
- Ensures proper representation of community stakeholders.
- Reviews the actual versus proposed outcomes for WC and ERAP benchmarks for public benefits enrollment, referrals made, counseling services provided, and assessment of other services to be provided by the WC.
- Responsible for ensuring that program staff maintains thorough participants' files. Files for all participants should include assessments, case notes, and services provided.
- Ensures that staff is inputting data entry and other required program-related information onto the online system.
- Responsible for periodically administering orientation sessions and providing participants with the necessary program information.
- Evaluates program effectiveness to develop improved methods; devise evaluation methodology and implementation; analyze results and recommend and/or take appropriate action
- Recruits program participants utilizing the most appropriate promotional or marketing methods, such as individual letters, brochures, or presentations at meetings.
- Makes recommendations for hiring and termination of staff
- Schedules work assignments for all staff in the programs
- Represents the programs and the organization in internal and external liaison activities
- Participates in the organization’s Director's team meetings.
- Provides routine evaluation of programmatic services by completing monthly reports, quarterly reports, and suggested corrective actions and recommendations.
- Participates in regular supervision from the Program Director, weekly or as indicated by Director, seeking additional supervision whenever necessary.
- Participates in organizational annual events including but not limited to the Puerto Rican
People’s Parade, Fiesta Boricua, Three Kings Day, and Haunted Paseo Boricua.
- Performs other functions assigned.
This position requires compliance with all PRCC written standards, including its Standards of Conduct, all policies and procedures, and Regulatory Compliance requirements. Compliance will be considered as part of the regular performance evaluation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience working with the target population
- Experience working in non for profit and management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Work independently with a strong sense of focus, task-oriented, nonjudgmental, open personal qualities, and a clear sense of boundaries.
- Bilingual: Oral and writing skills in both English and Spanish preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
OSHA Category 3 – Involves no regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues are not a condition of employment.

Pay: $55,000
