Position Title: ERA Housing Stability Program Assistant
Division: Energy Services

Reports To: ERA Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housing Stability staff provides direct support, outreach, information, and education to individuals/families in need of alternate secure housing. Collaborates with other programs within DCP as well as other community partners. Ensures that all areas of the program’s service area is covered equitably. Ensures adherence to all aspects and conditions of the grants/funding sources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Communicates with participants and landlords as needed.

2. Works with individuals and families in assessing needs, defining goals, and developing a plan.

3. Provides support and resources to participants who have applied for ERA.

4. Cultivates a working knowledge of and makes connections to relevant area resources.

5. Collects and inputs data to support and ensure that grant deliverables and expectations are met.

6. Participates in staff team meetings as well as individual supervision.

7. Performs other duties as assigned or as necessary to fulfill the position.

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:

  • Have a general knowledge of or be willing to become educated on area resources pertaining to rental housing in our service area.
  • Have a general knowledge of or be willing to learn being punctual in the practice of reaching out to applicants and/or landlords to best fit their requests.
  • Have a working knowledge of or be willing to learn how to navigate the computer data base program EmpowOR.
  • Have a working knowledge of or be willing to learn proper data collection for future reports as needed.
  • Have a general knowledge or be willing to learn in the area of the rules of confidentiality as pertaining to ERA as well as DCP.

Pay: $15.80 - $18.18 per hour
