Job Purpose:
The position will hold the title of Environmental Technical Supervisor and will be responsible for technical oversight and regulatory compliance at the EnviroServe Inc. non-hazardous waste disposal facility located in Mulberry, FL. This position will primarily entail office work (80-90%) consisting of profile approvals, oversight of QA/QC for incoming and outgoing loads, coordination and completion of compliance reports, communication with regulatory agencies and the general maintenance and improvement of environmental compliance and operational programs at the facility. Some physical work within the facility will be required (10-20%) for collection of QA/QC samples, completion of permit compliance inspections and any related corrections, and other tasks as required.
Job responsibilities:

• Review and approve waste profiles including Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and laboratory analytical data to determine acceptance for disposal.
• Oversee QA/QC program for incoming waste to ensure acceptance of only non-hazardous waste per the facility permit.
• Develop/update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize facility procedures and practices.
• Maintain facility compliance files including but not limited to incoming and outgoing manifests, waste approvals and compliance inspections.
• Site lead for communication with regulatory agencies and regulatory audits/inspections.
• Carefully read and understand RCRA and DOT regulations to determine the status of various wastes and materials, including relevant exemptions related to shipping and disposal.
• Support EnviroServe’s southeastern operations (Mulberry, FL, Tampa, FL and future southeastern operations) as a technical resource for waste shipping and disposal.

Skills/​Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental management & compliance related degree, or a scientific field. Ten (10) or more years of experience in the in the waste industry is preferred, especially with regards to disposal facility operations, waste profile approvals, environmental sampling/analysis and analytical data interpretation. Candidates should possess exceptional organizational and communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced work environment where priorities and workloads are constantly in flux. The position requires a person with who is extremely detail-oriented, able to interpret information from lab reports and SDSs, and ensure permit requirements and regulations are implemented in daily work routine at the facility.
