We currently are looking to add a full-time Environmental Health & Safety Site Manager to our team at our Northeast Philadelphia, PA facility. Purpose of the role:

Under the direction of the Corporate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, the EHS Site Manager will lead development and implementation of Kingsbury’s EHS policies and programs, conduct training, and ensure audits and inspections are completed in accordance with Kingsbury’s policies and state and federal safety and health standards. The EHS Site Manager must be able to anticipate and respond to hazards, promote employee health, safety, and environmental compliance, and build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external team members.


As the Environmental Health & Safety Site Manager, the team member will:

  • Facilitate monthly site safety meetings.
  • Create and deliver training in various topics.
  • Lead facility inspections to detect existing and potential hazards.
  • Facilitate the determination of corrective or preventative measures along with the assignment of responsibility and follow up to ensure the corrective measures have been implemented.
  • Ensures that training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports, or other documentation are appropriately maintained, updated, and in compliance.
  • Responsible for submitting OSHA Logs.
  • Support corporate policy and program development.
  • Purchases and distributes personal protection equipment and supplies.
  • Monitors and keeps in compliance all known health, safety, or environmental hazards, such as noise, air, or wastewater pollution levels in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines
  • Monitors and coordinates energy usage, efficiencies, and other data related to established environmental and sustainability-related metrics.
  • Coordinates the inspection of facilities, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Maintains appropriate certifications including, but not limited to: First Aid, OSHA 30 Hour, 40-hour HAZWOPER.
  • Maintain Emergency Preparedness Plans for medical, fire and natural disaster and keep plant trained on these plans.
  • Supports the company in Worker’s Compensation strategies and matters.
  • Help maintain a proactive fitness-for-duty process with local Occupational Medical clinics.
  • Remain current on federal, state, county and local safety regulations and keep management advised of new or revised regulations.
  • Travel may be required to fulfill job duties.
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.


Abilities and Other Skills

Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to read and write English.

Mathematical: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Education and Experience:

Experience: Three or more years’ EHS-related experience in a manufacturing environment.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelors or Associates Degree in EHS, Sustainability, or equivalent.

Preferred Experience: Understanding of OSHA General Industry requirements. Experience delivering training, in OSHA onsite audits, and reporting to regulatory agencies.
