What We Need:

We are looking for an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to join our team in Wayland, NY! In this role, you will support and drive critical safety programs and initiatives to reach the safety goals and objectives of our Wayland facility. This will include driving a ‘safety first’ culture, promoting a safe work environment and communicating environmental and safety programs and policies. This role is highly interactive and hands-on, within a fast paced, high energy manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as OSHA, EPS, NYSDEC, Village of Wayland and adherence to company policies.
  • Ensure all safety training is completed on time.
  • Provide support for addressing safety issues, member concerns and improvement event teams.
  • Maintain records of compliance, related files, job safety analyses, MSDS, workers’ compensation claim information, OSHA log and safety statistics.
  • Support all energy reduction and waste reduction efforts as well as all other initiatives related to corporate sustainability efforts.
  • Responsible for regular inspections of the facility, air emission points, storm water drains, finish spray equipment, fire equipment, eyewash stations, hazardous material containments and machinery for compliance and safety.
  • Ensure all Title V inspections, training, reports, and record keeping compliance activities are completed.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental, Manufacturing Engineering, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene preferred
  • 8+ years of environmental, health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 4+ years leading/providing oversight of EHS
  • 4+ years managing self-insured workers’ compensation programs
  • Certifications - CSP, CIH preferred
  • Involvement in OSHA or DEC inspections, permitting and compliance activities
  • Familiar with Title V permitting and all other related record keeping and compliance functions
