- Manages setup, new year rollover, census/enrollment, course registration, grading, calendars, behavior and health data within the student information system.
- Manages staff, student, and family access to appropriate components of the student information system while enhancing data privacy and ensuring data security as set forth by Federal, State, and District statute and policy.
- Perform data extracts as required for federal and state reporting, as requested by other District departments, and as needed for data integration to support additional district and third party systems in conjunction with the Enterprise Information Specialist – Student Data Development and under the governance of the district data team.
- Coordinate student information training and support.
- Manages governance and data standards for student data submission, maintenance, and extraction as part of the district data team in alignment with district vision.
- Manages SIS related communication with district stakeholders.
- Serves as the internal technical support liaison for the student information system including support for families, students, and staff.
- Serves as the external technical support liaison for the student information system.
- Ed-Fi data coordination as required for systems support.
- Assist with data visualization and business analytics of student information.
- Partner in integrating data from disparate systems across the enterprise.
- Work with other enterprise data system owners to form coherent data structures across multiple systems.
- Contribute to district goals of defining and operationalizing student success metrics and reporting. Promotes and supports the overall mission of the District by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with public and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
- Associates Degree in field related to job requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced certifications related to job requirements (e.g. Infinite Campus Certifications, MS SQL Certification) preferred.
- OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with supervising school district student information system data & administration.
- Experience extracting & transforming data and ad-hoc reporting tools.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL queries and database administration.
- Experience with Google Workspace for Education preferred.
- Experience with Tableau or similar Business Analytics Suite is a plus.
- Driver’s license.
- Knowledge and experience with database systems.

SUMMARY:
The Enterprise Information Specialist – Student Data Operations is responsible for district-wide training, service, and support for, and acts as the service owner for the Student Information System (SIS), Infinite Campus, leads data extracts and reporting, and serves as a member the district data team as well as the Information Services department leadership team. This position works with the MARSS Coordinator to build processes for reporting data via MARSS and Ed-Fi. The Enterprise Information Specialist – Student Data Operations acts as the liaison between the District and state & federal representatives for data preparation and submission as well as related work, apparent or assigned. The Enterprise Information Specialist – Student Data Operations also serves as an enterprise-wide data expert working to integrate datasets to ensure all data is available and usable across systems and services. The Enterprise Information Specialist – Student Data Operations supports the flow of information from our core “systems of truth” (Student Information System, Enterprise Resource Planning, Learning Management System, Identity Management, Single Sign-On, etc) to our instructional delivery platform, approved third-party applications, and data reporting system.
