Engineer: Distribution I/II/III Job at ALLETE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support for project planning, development, implementation, work creation and modification
- Contribute to engineering standards development, balancing corporate and customer needs
- Research new technology for potential corporate application
- Interpersonal and communication skills required to establish and maintain positive working relationships
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent
- Electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering degree preferred
- Candidates completing their degree by June 30, 2023 will be considered
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Job classification is dependent upon the level of job related experience
A Master's degree in engineering may be equivalent for up to one year of related experience
Engineer I: No experience required; utility engineering intern experience desired.
Engineer II: Four years or more related engineering experience -OR- Two years or more related engineering experience* PLUS certification as an Engineer-in-Training.
Engineer III: Four years or more of related engineering experience* PLUS Professional Engineer license.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as travel may be required
- This position will report regularly in person to Eveleth, MN.
- This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude
