Engineer: Distribution I/II/III Job at ALLETE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support for project planning, development, implementation, work creation and modification
  • Contribute to engineering standards development, balancing corporate and customer needs
  • Research new technology for potential corporate application
  • Interpersonal and communication skills required to establish and maintain positive working relationships

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent
    • Electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering degree preferred
    • Candidates completing their degree by June 30, 2023 will be considered

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Job classification is dependent upon the level of job related experience
A Master's degree in engineering may be equivalent for up to one year of related experience

Engineer I: No experience required; utility engineering intern experience desired.

Engineer II: Four years or more related engineering experience -OR- Two years or more related engineering experience* PLUS certification as an Engineer-in-Training.

Engineer III: Four years or more of related engineering experience* PLUS Professional Engineer license.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license as travel may be required
  • This position will report regularly in person to Eveleth, MN.
  • This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude
