Who We Need
An Employment Specialist ll to ensure the provision of quality services in the Employment Related Services department. The Employment Specialist ll will provide Supported Employment Services to members with a diagnosed Mental Health challenge (GMH or SMI) seeking to obtain and/or maintain employment in the community.
Immediately Hiring an Employment Specialist ll Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:30pm.
Hourly Starting Pay Rate: $18.00
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a high school diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma).- Prefer a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum of one-year experience in the field of rehabilitation or two years’ experience working with individuals with mental, developmental and/or physical disabilities (which may include life experience providing care for a family member with disabilities.
- Satisfactory work record as determined by the People First/Human Resources Department
- Successful completion of Copa’s training program.
- Must have a fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ Department of Public Safety or be eligible to receive one within eight (8) weeks of hire.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.
- TB Test clearance required at the time of hire and annually.
- Ability to meet Copa’s driver eligibility requirements. Personal vehicle must pass inspection, have proof of insurance, registration, and clean MVR for 39 months
- Ensure the maintenance of departmental operations to achieve compliance with contract requirements, accreditation, licensing and monitoring standards.
- Adhere to current training requirements
- Coordinate information and contribute to the successful resolution of challenges.
- Communicate with integrity and honesty, clearly and concisely, and in a respectful manner to all team members.
- Ensure the confidentiality of written, verbal and electronic communications pertaining to members, staff, families of consumers and agency operations.
- Demonstrate and maintain professional, respectful, productive working relationships with all agency departments, staff, board members, funding sources, individuals receiving services, families utilizing or enquiring about services, funding sources and the community.
- Carry a caseload of 25 or more dependent on the composition of number Job Searching/Job Coaching
- Assist members in obtaining individualized information about how entitlements (e.g., SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, EBT, etc.) will be affected by employment
- Spend 70% of time out in the community, working directly with members, conducting industry research and/or outreaching employers on the members’ behalf.
- To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department.
