What You’ll Do as a Lead Employment Professional: *
The Lead Employment Professional assists and supports individuals in obtaining integrated employment. The Lead Employment Professional does initial job set up and training for the individuals and works with the employer on developing effective communication techniques, overcoming barriers to successful job performance, and developing natural supports in the workplace.
As a Lead Employment Professional, here are some things you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing initial job coach training and supports to Individuals in their workplace regarding job duties and policies and procedures in collaboration with the employer.
  • Assist with developing resumes, cover letters, applications, and interviews.
  • Identify and implement the necessary personalized training needs and modifications for work environments and learning of job tasks per employer’s expectations.
  • Train the Employment Professionals to the job sites for ongoing support and model how to communicate and work with the individual to employers and coworkers.
  • The Lead Employment Professional is responsible for assisting in the completion of employment related ISP documents.
  • Ensure personal safety of assigned individuals.
  • Additional duties that may be assigned by Supported Employment Manager or Employment Director

Required Qualifications for a Lead job Coach:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 6 months experience job coaching.
  • A valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and proof of liability insurance.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between the office and community locations daily; sometimes transporting people with disabilities.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours and days.
  • Basic math, reading, writing skills, and effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and provide proactive solutions.
  • Complete CESP certification/Or another accredited course within 1 year of hire.
  • Ability to always maintain strict confidentiality.
  • High level of professionalism in appearance, actions, and dialogue.
