Electrical Engineer II Job at SAF Holland
Job description
Design, develop, test, and launch electrical/electronic products, components, and systems to market. Work with regional engineering teams and customers on development and testing of prototypical products. Provide technical support for existing product lines. Introduce electrical components, sensors, and systems into traditional products. Provide electrical and electronic expertise to product design teams with a constant emphasis on quality, safety, and reliability.
***Need to have strong development or design type work with sensors or embedded systems.
- Familiar with taking a product thru the entire product design process (concept development through production)

- Debugging both hardware and software
- Circuit design, schematic capture and PBC layout
- Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers and different sensor technologies
Qualifications Required:
Qualification 1: Bachelor of Science (BSEE preferred) degree with emphasis in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics from a four year college or university;
Qualification 2: Five + years of experience in electrical engineering field working as part of multifunctional engineering teams;
Qualification 3: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Qualification 4: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to technical peers, management, customers and public groups.
Qualification 5: Ability to apply advanced mathematical, electrical, and electronic concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations needed to analyze test data - such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Qualification 6: Ability to use a personal computer; working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and remote communication software and tools. Proficiency with: AutoCAD, Solidworks, MATLAB, PSpice/LTSpice or similar.
Qualification 7: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Travel Requirements: Approximately 10% travel required.
