Overview: We are looking for an entry level Electrical Engineers to join CVI and start in our engineering job rotation program. As a new engineer, you will have the opportunity to learn about all the engineering areas that support manufacturing before settling into one specific area. Responsibilities: This program will entail an 18-month rotation in which the new hires will rotate through 3 departments every 6 months. This rotation will be based on degree/discipline and CVI’s needs. At the end of each rotation, new members and the management team will submit an evaluation, which will allow us to determine the best departmental fit at the end of the 18-month rotation period for each of our new engineering members. Depending on the department, responsibilities and duties might change. In all the departments, the main goal for this position will be to support CVI's manufacturing needs, which could entail hands-on experience working with equipment, troubleshooting and analyzing problems within the process, design/redesign work, and many other engineering aspects. Potential Departmental Rotations: - Business Development Engineering - Cost Engineering - Medical - Manufacturing - Manufacturing Engineering - Molding Engineering - Preventative Maintenance - Product Engineering - Production Systems - Quality Engineering - Research and Development - Supplier Engineering - Tool Engineering Qualifications: - Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Discipline with 0-2 years experience with an interest in the manufacturing environment. - Requires strong analytical skills, problem solving skills and project management skills. - Requires ability to manage multiple projects to agreed upon time-frames. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) required, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels within an organization required. - Must be results oriented, energetic, proactive, self-starter, and a team player. - Prior hands-on experience or desire to be hands-on preferred. - Must be at least 18 years old to apply Company Overview: About our Company - Canon Virginia, Inc. located in Newport News, Virginia is a global manufacturer for Canon’s office and consumer products.
