Position Description:
Plasser American Corporation is a part of the Plasser & Theurer group with 18 locations around the world and customers in more than 130 countries. We are currently seeking a hands-on automation and controls electrical engineer designing and troubleshooting highly complex maintenance of way equipment (railroad track maintenance machinery). Responsibilities will include a 50-50 split between the office environment and the factory floor. The factory and office are co-located, so minimal travel is required.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years’ experience with:
- automation or electrical controls systems.
- Programmable Logic Controllers.
- Industrial network systems.
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Ability and desire to be hands-on.
- Must be willing to spend time on the machines wiring, troubleshooting, assisting the installation team, wiring control panels in on site factory.
- Experience with 24VDC control systems.
- Working knowledge of NFPA70 (National Electrical Code).
- Fluently read and interpret electrical schematics.
Preferred Skills:
- A proven track record of working safely around industrial equipment
- EPLAN software.
- AutoCAD software.
- Any PLC programming software.
- Danfoss PLC Systems
- CAN bus networks
- 3 phase motors and generator systems.
- 208V/480V power systems
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
