JOB DESCRIPTION
Education Assistants take direction from a Special Education Classroom Teacher and assist elementary, middle, or high school special needs students with autism, learning disabilities, or other health impairments during the school day. School locations are from Irvine to San Clemente. Schedules range from 3.5 to 7 hours daily, anywhere from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

EXPERIENCE
Applicants must like being around children and have experience working or volunteering with children, such as babysitting or helping in classrooms.

HOURLY RATE
$19

WORK HOURS
Staff must be available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for "during the school day" jobs and from 12:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. for "after school" jobs.

Student Supervisors monitor elementary school students on the playground during recess and when students eat their snacks and lunch. School locations are in Costa Mesa, from Mission Viejo to San Clemente. Schedules are 4 hours daily, typically from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

JOB DESCRIPTION - NUTRITION ASSISTANT
Strategic Kids Nutrition Assistants maintain food service facilities and assist in preparing, setting up, serving, and selling food. School locations are mainly in Irvine but could be in Laguna Beach. Schedules are 4 hours daily, anywhere from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

JOB DESCRIPTION - AFTER-SCHOOL STUDENT MENTOR
After-School Student Mentors assist elementary students with their homework and supervise students on the playground after school. School locations are in Mission Viejo. Schedules range from 3 to 4 hours daily, typically from 12:30pm to 4:45 p.m.

PAID MILEAGE
Strategic Kids pays Paraprofessional Educators driving more than 15 miles one way from home to the assigned school.

After finishing the school year in June, there will be opportunities to work in summer school throughout Orange County.

2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR
There will also be opportunities to work at Orange County schools during the 2023-24 school year.
