We are looking for certified early childhood educators who can effectively address the needs of Infants to Pre-School children in a child care center environment. The early childhood educator is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate programs that are aligned with national norms of the state.
To be a successful early childhood educator, you should be able to display strong communication skills and a kind and gentle demeanor when interacting with children. Ultimately, an outstanding early childhood educator should display patience and use creative ways to interact and engage with children.
Early Childhood Educator Responsibilities:
- Teaching and following a daily routines and schedules.
- Adapting the program to suit the needs of the individual child or group.
- Consistently planning innovative ways of keeping children actively engaged.
- Imparting knowledge to children through fun and play.
- Ensuring the social and emotional growth of the child.
- Addressing the physical needs of the individual child or group.
- Composing daily highlights and taking pictures for parents and the social media platforms of the school
- Lesson Planning
- Keeping a safe and clean environment for students.
- Meeting with Director and/or Owner to discuss professional development.
- Adhering to the guidelines of Open Arms Child Care Center and DCFS standards.
- Participating in Ongoing Professional Development courses
Early Childhood Educator Requirements:
- CDA in early child development.
- Associates Degree or higher in Childhood Development (preferred)
- Proof of education
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the field.
- Will have to receive Physcial, TB test, and First Aid Certifcation upon hire.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
