General Summary:

The Offset Duplicating Machine Operator oversees daily operations of the College Copy Center including but not limited to operating the photocopy machines and related equipment used in the development and production of all college printed materials, booklets, publications, etc., maintaining copy center equipment in good working condition.


EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (Not intended to be an exhaustive list):

Coordinates office functions including answering calls, responding to inquiries regarding copy center policies and procedures, receiving requests for duplication of materials.
Operates photocopy equipment to reproduce college printed materials in accordance to work requests and college policies and procedures.
Performs routine maintenance on all copy center equipment and makes periodic checks to determine parts/equipment replacement as needed.
Maintains inventory records of all college photocopy equipment/printers and supplies including toner cartridges, copy paper, etc.
Informs the Operations Manager, in a timely manner, of supplies needed to maintain the copy center working effectively.
Stocks and provides supplies to college personnel for the copiers in all college departments.
Maintains record of work requests completed, pending, and time and materials used.
Supervises the work of student personnel assigned to the copy center.
Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or higher completed at a recognized trade, technical or vocational school, or at least 6 (six) months of full-time, or equivalent part-time related experience. Associate degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the methods used to operate and maintain photocopy machines and other related equipment. Knowledge of materials and supplies used in the operation of photocopy machines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of constituencies at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to supervise, including planning, assigning, and reviewing work of subordinates.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory records.

HOURS AND DAYS OF WORK:
This is a 37.5 hour position with said schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (including an unpaid half hour lunch and two fifteen minute breaks)

SALARY RANGE: This is a full-time Grade 13 AFSCME position, with benefits including health, dental, and discounted vision.
