Qualifications for a DSP, Area Relief Specialist: *

• Be dependable and punctual;
• Be able to lift, transfer, push/pull, maneuver and reposition 50 lbs.;
• Be able to prepare written reports via computer using proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar;
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent;
• Have documentation of a COVID-19 vaccination or Exception Form;
• Have 2 Years' experience support individuals in the I/DD Community;
• Have a valid Driver's license with an acceptable driving record;
• Be able to work at least one weekend day.

• Support people who experience life with intellectual and developmental disabilities;
• Deliver person-centered care for each individual, honoring the person’s right of individual choice and input;
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with individuals supported, family members, medical professionals, coworkers, community members and in documentation;
• Maintain and promote positive, caring living and working environments.
