Driver Job at R&K Clayton’s Trucking
We are looking for an experienced Driver to transport General Equipment and materials. You will operate company vehicles/equipment to transport employees, materials and property to various destinations. As a Driver, you will use your knowledge of loading, securing and transporting to plan routes and assess vehicle safety. You should have excellent driving skills, including attention to safety procedures and customer service orientation. Experience in the transportation field, especially with cargo trucks, is a plus. Time management and decision-making skills are necessary for organizing work flow and meeting deadlines. Ultimately, you should be able to provide us with quality service through safe operations and customer care.
Responsibilities:
- Review the route and area and make necessary adjustments before starting.
- Ensure that the vehicle is clean and in good condition (fix minor damages, check oil levels etc.).
- Take any required safety precautions regarding passengers and follow all rules of the road.
- Pick up passengers on time at designated stops or locations on the route.
- Identify any hazards (e.g. dangerous road conditions, vehicle malfunctions etc.) or risks to passenger safety and promptly report these incidents to management.
- Provide information to passengers about their destination, e.g. landmarks, traffic and weather conditions etc.
- Handle cash or credit card payments properly; ensure that receipt has been signed by the passenger and provide copy if requested; provide change if needed; complete all other transaction-related tasks (e.g. obtain signatures).
- Collect feedback from passengers and report problems to management.
- Use maps, navigation equipment and technology like GPS to locate destinations accurately and safely.
- Clean the vehicle after completing each trip.
- Report any problems, delays or other.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $800.00 - $3,000.00 per week

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Overnight shift
- Weekend availability
