Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Complete all "mileage forms" properly.
2. Check all items/gauges prior to first trip of the day as outlined on "Initial Inspection Checklist".
3. Maintain, clean/wash vehicle on weekly basis or when necessary.
4. Schedule minor maintenance items (oil change) as prescribed and report all other maintenance/repair concerns to Maintenance Manager.
5. Perform appointments on time as listed on daily driving schedules.
6. Drive and practice courtesy and safety at all times, using all proper driving skills.
7. Assist passengers in and out of vehicle, assisting non-ambulatory persons to and from their home.
8. Require and maintain proper passenger behavior on all vehicles.
9. Attend all driving/safety in-service sessions.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid driver’s license and be an insurable driver with our insurance company.
• Possess good communication skills and basic mechanical aptitude.
• Have "wheelchair lift" operation knowledge and ability when transporting non-ambulatory persons.
• Clearance from all applicable background checks as required by service standards.
• Ability to pass a health assessment at time of hire and ability to maintain up to date health assessment as requested per regulations.
• Reliable Transportation
• Provide proof of state minimum automobile insurance coverage.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to assist riders off and on the vehicles.
• Ability to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
