Downsizing and Organizing Associate Job at Specialty Moves By Design

Our main office is located in Wescosville, and we serve the Lehigh Valley South to around Harleysville, Lansdale, and occasionally Ambler areas. We are looking to hire several part-time, as needed associates to be focused in this Bucks/Montgomery area.
Seeking positive team players to join a local family business! We specialize in downsizing, decluttering, packing/unpacking, organizing, and making new spaces truly feel like "home".
The job: Associates report directly to the Move Manager and assist with sorting and downsizing, decluttering, packing, unpacking, and organizing our clients' homes. Many of our clients are over 65 and are facing the emotional process of downsizing - so empathy is essential. We are NOT the movers and do not lift over 25 lbs! As a function of what we do, we work in peoples' homes. This means the jobsite is constantly changing, so you will need reliable transportation and a willingness to drive to/from client homes in our service area. Staff is compensated for travel time and mileage beyond their "standard commute," and carpooling is typically available.
Every project looks a little different and there are lots of opportunities for variety in our company beyond just working packs and unpacks! Associates with an "eye for design" may also be trained in floor planning or art hanging - important parts of our "Joyful Move" process. Associates with a talent for client relations and careful listening can be trained to assist on Initial Consultations or with preparing estimates. Training to become a Move Manager ($25/hr) is also available to qualified Associates!

Pay and schedule: All Associates start at $15/hr, which will increase to $16.50/hr after a training period. Hours are scheduled Part-Time, As-Needed during standard weekday business hours (generally between 8:30am and 5:30pm, but typically in 3 to 6-hour shifts). We do not schedule work on holidays, evenings or weekends. You set your availability ahead of time and tell us how many hours you're comfortable with - and we work to meet those goals.
