The Donor Experience Officer (DXO) will focus on providing a first-class personalized philanthropic experience for all donors by leveraging in-person and digital engagement to effectively build relationships and solicit gifts from donors. This position plays a key role in donor pipeline development and identifying major gift leads by focusing on donor retention, upgrading, and acquisition. You will also focus on engaging and soliciting leadership annual giving prospects across the university system. The candidate will collaborate with other departments both internally and externally to leverage 1:1 outreach campaigns using a variety of outreach methods including phone calls, social media, video messaging and conferencing, emails, and some face-to-face interactions. In addition, the DXO provides a concierge level service to donors, providing information that deepens their understanding and connection to the university. This role is critical to helping the University of Nebraska Foundation achieve both its near-term annual giving goals and long-term fundraising objectives.

What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years’ experience in development, communications, sales, or another related field. Experience in higher education fundraising as a student or professional preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills across mediums, especially via video conferencing.
- Strong collaboration skills, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to handle confidential material responsibly and interact professionally with a wide spectrum of individuals.
