Our team is hiring! The Document Control Manager supervises a team of document control specialists; and partners with the Office Engineers and Project Managers. The Document Control Manager is responsible for: establishing a procedural framework for collecting the controlled documents, including developing and/or enhancing document controls procedures and tools; managing and enforcing the collection, distribution and filing of controlled documents, including being watchful of documents moving in and through the organization to validate correct processing and recording, reviewing the calendars and internal meeting calendars to capture presentation material, conducting periodic spot audits of a functional group’s document control; and for providing document control training to seek collaboration and cooperation of the functional groups.

The role is based out of our project site in Queen Creek, AZ.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Assists the Project Quality Manager (PQM) and controls the QMS documents and QA management database (Hard and Soft copy).
  • Coordinates with SECAI Document Control Departments and Supplier Document Control Departments in order to expedite document deliverable processing.
  • Maintains quality related documents within the relevant sections of the above (Training, Inspection, Test, NCR, Calibration, etc.).
  • Assists PQM in the maintenance of quality records relating to traceability (where required) of materials incorporated into the works.
  • Assists the PQM to ensure all SAMSUNG E&C and supply partners’ personnel who perform or manage activities affecting quality are properly educated, trained, qualified and where required, certified in accordance with related procedure.
  • Maintains Quality Training record (Training Attendance sheet, Photo) and registers to computer.
  • Maintains Inspection Logs (Material/ Shop/ Work/ Final Inspection) and Test Results (Hard and Soft copy).
  • Assists the PQM with controlling, directing and coordinating all inspections with 3RD party and Supply Partners.
  • Keeps NCR records and tracks NCR closed status.
  • Assists the PQM with providing Quality status input to the weekly/monthly Quality report.
  • Shares the quality documents and information with project team staffs.
  • Maintains Project Special Process records and monitors Qualification expiration period (Welder Qualification Record, Fusion, Bolting, etc.).
  • Maintains equipment calibration record and monitors expiration period.
  • Register document and record using Samsung’s own IT system (CPMS).

What will you contribute?

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus four years of relevant experience OR Associate's Degree with six years of relevant experience. Without a degree, eight years of document control experience. Previous experience managing a Document Control effort on a large-scale.
  • Minimum 2 years of Document control experience.
  • Korean Fluency preferred
  • Familiar with Document Control (Hard and Soft copy).
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office (Excel, Power Point, Word) suite of programs.
  • English oral & written communication skills are required.
