Job Title: Doc Pro (Document Processing Clerk)
Job Summary/Objective: Receive Scan, Save, Distribute Company Mail and Inter-Company Documentation, Drafting Correspondence, communicate with clients via phone as well as maintaining files updated organized and controlled. This position requires self-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for receiving incoming mail and delivering it to various individuals and departments
- Become familiar with the existing filing system and identify any potential opportunities for improvements or adjustments
- Appropriately file and quickly retrieve documents and paperwork when requested
- Deliver requested files to staff members and occasionally clients
- Maintain the organization of both the digital and hardcopy filing systems
- Scan files and upload digital copies to the database
- Regularly make necessary updates to records with new information; remove or archive any records that are outdated or obsolete
- Communicate with other staff members to explain the workings of the filing system when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas
- Light Computer Work, Drafting letters and commutating via phone to Clients, Defense Counsel, Vendors, etc.
Competencies & ability to:
- Must be able to read and write in English (work must be legible, professional, and free of grammar/spelling errors)
- Must be able to read and sort through a wide variety of legal documents and correspondence.
- Must have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and work ethic.
- Must be proficient at basic computer skills and able to use standard office equipment.
- Must be able to work well in a teamwork environment.
- Must have good attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to lift and move file boxes of up to 25lbs
- Must be able to successfully perform assigned job duties and responsibilities under little or no supervision.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have any direct reports.
Work Environment: This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Essential Physical Functions:
- Safely lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Standing and or sitting for the majority of 8-hour workday
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This position is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Extra work hours (overtime) may be needed on occasion, respective to the operational needs of the firm.
Travel: Some short distance travel may be required
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Computer skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Litify desired, but willing to train
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
