What will I be doing?
The DC Supervisor has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. The supervisor is responsible for overseeing assigned department within the distribution center in a manner consistent with company and department policy and procedures. You will be responsible for the following tasks and other tasks as assigned:
  • Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and is in accordance with applicable OSHA standards.
  • Prioritize the safety of all associates, customers and personnel on site at all times.
  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly safety tailgate meetings.
  • Maintain clean, neat and orderly work areas and aisles throughout the distribution center.
  • Ensure jobs and tasks are assigned effectively within the team, and are completed properly.
  • Complete all necessary records and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete 30/60/90 day and annual performance evaluations.
  • Provide recommendations and input regarding promotions, wage increases, and terminations.
  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and disciplining subordinates.
  • Participate in skill specific training for new hires to assist them in achieving performance expectations.
  • Train, evaluate and certify subordinates on all required PIT equipment.
  • Monitor performance of each team member based on established quality, productivity and attendance standards.
  • Conduct monthly facility inspections.
  • Perform other duties and tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
What skills/experience do I need to possess?
  • Bachelor's degree in business management/operations management is a plus.
  • Previous supervisory experience within a distribution or warehousing environment is a plus.
  • 3+ years warehousing or similar experience.
  • Ability to obtain HazMat certification within first 90 days.
  • Ability to operate all PIT equipment within first 90 days.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to read and comprehend customers’ orders, BOL’s, etc.
  • Knowledge of SAP/WMS and experience using RF equipment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, Workday, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Groups, and Google Slides is a plus.
