We are looking to expand our team and are interested in qualified and motivated candidates for our Dispatcher position. This position works at our warehouse in Milpitas and the shift is Monday - Friday 10am - 6:30pm.

Dispatchers are the key to success for our drivers. Dispatchers are responsible for the daily operations of the cartage workload. This position will be expected to work directly with our drivers and Customer Service to provide direction of the dispatched shipments to both company drivers and independent contractors.

  • Plans and schedules routes for freight transport
  • Provides accurate instructions/information and documentation to our drivers
  • Works closely with our drivers, helping to ensure we meet important transport deadlines
  • Monitors routes and status of drivers to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
  • Recognizes potential delays and works with drivers to determine the most effective course of action
  • Updates inbound and outbound orders in Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Serves as primary communication liaison with Customer Service
  • Assists in fleet management
  • Adhere to company KPI measurements and timelines
  • Operate within company issued technology systems
  • Provide feedback to Lead and Supervisor
Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a dispatcher
  • Must possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task in stressful situations
  • Excellent customer service skills: dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers
  • Must have excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to use radio, phone, and computer to communicate with our drivers
  • The position requires STA background check. Evidence of prior STA approval is beneficial
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and ability to adapt to other computer software systems

Physical Requirements

Works in a seated or standing position for extended periods.

Uses fingers, hands, and arms at the computer keyboard for long periods of time.

Able to speak clearly and distinctly, hear and be heard and understood in person and by telephone

Able to use warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks

Pay Range
: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour, DOE
