Altria Corporate Security department is currently seeking a highly qualified Security Director, Manufacturing and Operations to join our team in the Richmond, VA area!
What you'll be doing:
- Accountable for the delivery and operational excellence of strategic security programs across manufacturing campuses. Programs include Crisis and Incident management, Workplace Investigations, Physical Security, Threat Assessments, and Access Control,
- Strategically oversees uniformed law enforcement and contract guard force assigned to manufacturing and affiliated sites.
- Responsible for ensuring contract guard staffing levels and performance are exceeding service level agreements.
- As the subject matter expert (SME), proactively anticipates the security needs of Manufacturing leadership and influences the development and deployment of reasonable mitigation strategies as needed.
- Provides concise and relevant briefings to Manufacturing leadership on unique security-related situations and represents Corporate Security in high level meetings.
- Lead and or conduct ad-hoc security owned or influenced services as part of daily operational responsibilities.
- Develops, coordinates and leads complex security special projects/initiatives from concept, design and development to implementation and review
- Develop and coach the next generation of security leaders
- Leads continued improvement of the product integrity program to mitigate risk of compromise and responses to suspected anomalies as appropriate.
What we want you to have:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience is required. Previous experience in law enforcement or asset protection roles is required to possess the necessary knowledge, skills and judgment required to successfully lead the enterprise security organization.
- 5+ years of demonstrated work experience in a manufacturing or distribution center, and or at a fast moving consumer goods company required.
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience managing employees across a geography required.
- Proven skills in risk assessment and mitigation.
- Strong personal leadership skills to lead a department of seasoned security professionals and effectively consult with senior-level partners, both internal and external to Altria.
- Willingness to work a wide-ranging schedule, including nights and weekends, to ensure the security of Altria's people, physical assets and information.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of extremely sensitive information, which may be encountered in the performance of regular duties.
- Experience in evasive driving techniques and ability to maintain appropriate firearm certifications.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to work in a professional office environment, using typical office equipment.
- Capacity to work long hours, occasionally involving significant periods of standing.
- Ability to operate a company-provided vehicle at all times.
