Clarity Partners is seeking a Director of Service Delivery local to Chicago, IL. This position will work collaboratively with partners in the firm to lead a highly skilled workforce, including practice directors, project managers, management consultants, and technology professionals. The Director of Service Delivery is responsible for organizing and managing governance and oversight routines for multiple management and information technology consulting projects. This client facing role will be responsible for client management, project portfolio management, quality of service delivery, workload balancing, and client satisfaction. The Director will ensure the appropriate rigor, routines, readiness, and monitoring are in place for client projects to be delivered on time, within budget and provide the expected benefit.

Responsibilities:

• Lead customer-facing delivery team.
• Manage and coach a diverse team of talented managers and individual contributors.
• Monitor the teams that help us deliver timely, high-quality projects with a healthy margin.
• Responsible for managing project P&L and revenue forecasting.
• Help to attract and retain top talent.
• Define clear team goals and financial & operating objectives.
• Ensure that project teams deliver quality services with high customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with other firm leaders to develop methodologies and processes and champion delivery team adoption to ensure consistent service delivery that maximizes customer satisfaction.
• Assess program/project risk and develop and implement mitigation plans.
• Serve as an escalation point for service delivery matters.
• Provide coaching and feedback to people managers and technical leads, as needed.
• Provide capacity planning support.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of information technology experience.
• 5-7 years of professional services leadership experience.
• 5-7 years of experience delivering projects and involvement in selling consulting services.
• Background in developing and managing a PMO or similar delivery structure.
• Proven leadership capabilities, including managing other leaders and teams.
• Experience managing a cross-functional team, including project managers and technical resources.
• Excellent project management and analytical skills.
• Sound business judgment and financial management skills.
• Experience negotiating with clients and external partners.
• Great interpersonal skills with demonstrable success working effectively with clients and teams.
• Experience developing methodologies to ensure a systematic approach to client delivery.
• Evidence of securing significant follow-on business with an existing client.
• Experience in drafting SOW’s, rules of engagement, contracts, and other infrastructure a plus.
• Certification in project or program management a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in business, information technology or related field required.
