POSITION SUMMARY:


Community Healthcare Network is seeking a Director of Clinical Operations. As a member of clinical operations leadership, oversees, directs, manages and analyzes all operational activity at the sites. The Director of Clinical Operations collaborates with the VP of Clinical Operations and Programs and the AVP of Clinical Operations on improving operational practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory agency standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • In collaboration with the Center Manager, directs all activities involved in the provision of services at the Center including appropriate scheduling, adequate staffing, managing patient flow, ensuring efficient clinical operations, maintaining safety and security measures of the facility, monitoring and complying with the daily fiscal/accounting procedures as related to the collection of sliding fee payments and insurance co-payments.
  • Works closely with the VP of Clinical Operations and Programs and AVP of Clinical Operations on pilots, projects and initiatives that develop standards and protocols to optimize practice operations, improve access, utilization and service to patients.
  • Supervise the Senior Center Manager as well as, collaborate on various projects.
  • Chairs and/or provides administrative support for committees, meetings and task groups as needed.
  • Assumes initiative in Center activities and seeks new sources for patient referrals and programs
  • that present growth opportunities.
  • Attend and participate in local Community Board meetings.
  • In collaboration with CHN senior leadership team, develops and maintains relationships with local elected officials and community based organizations.
  • Establish and maintain a Community Action Council (CAC) and Patient Advisory Committee (PAC) at the Center; Coordinate and lead quarterly CAC meetings and bi-annual PAC meetings.
  • Serves as a liaison with community groups to establish and promote programs which are responsive to community needs.
  • Facilitates related services for health center patients as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.
  • Develops annual program goals and objectives for the Center.
  • Works with central fiscal staff and senior leadership in budget preparation and modification.
  • Participates in QI activities by tracking statistical information, implementing goals and ensuring ongoing monitoring of QI initiatives in collaboration with site Medical Director and other clinical leadership.
  • Collaborates with QARR team to perform outreach to new patients.
  • Ensures that the clinical programs conform to policies and standards set by the agency as well as by state, local and federal authorities.
  • Interprets agency policies and procedures and shares information with staff via staff meetings.
  • Increase Center's visibility in the community through outreach activities, health center events/Open House and formal linkage agreements with community based organizations.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, on-going supervision/progressive discipline and evaluation of all clinic staff. Assists the Human Resources Department in the recruitment, retention and evaluation of appropriate staff.
  • Dual supervision responsibility including on-site supervision; collaboration with staff manager and HR as appropriate.
  • Utilizes eCW and available management tools to use data to assist with the managing the
  • Center's daily operations.
  • Demonstrates teamwork at all times, addresses issues and concerns while providing guidance, coaching and follow-up as needed.
  • Assesses educational needs of staff and assists in their goals for continued professional development.
  • Provide oversight for the Center during all hours that the site is open (including weekends, evenings, and holidays).
  • In collaboration with facilities department, ensure quick resolution of issues concerning the facility including minor and major repairs as well as, capital improvements.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.


CERTIFICATE/LICENSE REQUIRED:


  • Master's Degree in public health administration or equivalent in education and experience, plus ten
(10) years of experience in healthcare operations and management.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


  • Five (5) years of related experience in administration and/or health.
  • The ability to lead and supervise staff including managing performance.
  • Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Respect for the rights of individuals to make their own decisions about family planning, etc.
  • Ability to communicate easily and display a cordial manner towards individuals from variety of socio-economic, cultural and religious backgrounds.
