MEDI*KO* is HIRING the following position for our new partner, the Norfolk City Jail: *

Position, Director of Nursing
Pay, Starting @ $95,000/year
Sign on Bonus, $5k
Schedule/Shift, FT, M-F, 8hr shifts

We are looking for a Director of Nursing (DON) for our Norfolk City Jail to join a diverse team who bring knowledge and skills from a variety of backgrounds.
What You'll Do:

• Participates in planning, priority setting, and the development of policies and procedures for health care activities that comply with facility and contractual requirements and ACA, NCCHC and State standards.
• Coordinates and monitors orientation, in-service training, and continuing education with the Health Services Administrator.
• Coordinates the development, provision, and evaluation of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice in the state in which the facility is located.
• Conducts recruitment/retention efforts for nursing service.
• Prepares/submits reports as requested for the Health Services Administrator in a timely manner.

What We Require:

• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in an acute setting preferred
• Emergency Room, Communicable Disease, with Medical and Surgical experience preferred
