Weatherly Inn is excited to be opening up our newest building in Renton. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate nurse to lead our Assisted Living and Memory Care care teams. Weatherly Inn is family-owned and operated with a tradition of excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 5 years in the same or job related field, with 2 years in supervisory role required.
  • Certificates: Dementia & Mental Health Training (within 90 days), CPR (within 30 days) required
  • High clinical competence and knowledge of nursing care needs and high quality documentation.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn to know special needs of residents and report changes in behavior (physical or emotional) to nursing.
  • Supervise all aspects of resident care, setting high standards.
  • Initiate and conduct collaborative family care conferences.
  • Conduct assessments of potential candidates and re-assess current residents annually or when there is a change in condition.
  • Monitor effective nursing notes, alert charting and other nursing documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with external health care providers.
  • Oversee storage, administration, documentation and proper disposal of medications.

SUPERVISION

  • Act as role model for staff, exhibiting and promoting professional tact, courtesy, and respect to residents, families, employees, and other professionals.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, in service, evaluate, discipline and recommend termination.
  • Be available by phone and “on-call” for staff questions and for fill-in.
  • Oversee proper staffing levels while minimizing overtime and agency fill-ins.
  • Conduct staff meetings with all shifts and oversee weekly in-service trainings for nursing staff, as well as mandatory monthly or quarterly department meetings.
  • Participate in staff and community marketing events such as Christmas parties and open houses.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents and families to ensure high quality care and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in marketing efforts such as tours, senior health fairs, conferences and visitation of other health care communities.
  • Coordinate resident admissions, transfers and discharges with community agencies and other facilities.
  • Review and complete incident reports in a timely manner, documenting disposition.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
