WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Grammy Global Ventures, a subsidiary of The Recording Academy, is searching for an experienced, highly-motivated individual to lead the learning strategy in a newly formed online education initiative. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cognitive and experiential learning, experience in the field of music, and an entrepreneurial spirit. A master's degree in instructional design is a plus, but experience and passion matter far more.
As the Director of Learning Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an outstanding adult learner experience: creating a learning experience framework for all courses, directing curriculum design, collaborating with peers and members of The Recording Academy and its affiliates, recruiting subject matter experts, and overseeing the production of content. Additionally, you will contribute to determining our learning tech stack, ensuring the exemplary quality of online courses, identifying an impactful course catalog, and continuing The Recording Academy’s core mission of service to its membership and the industry.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Oversight and implementation of a learning experience framework- Oversee the design and development of individual courses
- Manage relationships with online course developers and producers
- Recruit and manage relationships with subject matter experts, instructors, and talent
- Identify and implement innovative learning strategies to improve learning outcomes
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to relationships with third-party educational platforms (CMS, LMS, etc.)
- Research impactful and/or service-oriented educational experiences
- Establish and manage relationships with external vendors, as needed
- Perform assigned responsibilities and other related duties
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Required
- 8+ years of experience in learning design
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in an online learning organization; related to music is a plus
- Competency and passion in cognitive and experiential learning design and strategy
- Experience building curriculum, course strategy, and online content production
- Competency in developing courses and content that drive profitable revenue
- Deep understanding of edtech and learning management systems
- Ability to plan, organize and implement projects and meet deadlines
- Experience connecting learning outcomes with marketing and recruitment potential
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven record of collaboration to solve complicated projects and/or problems
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design
- Experience in the music industry or music education
- Experience using Salesforce

The Latin Recording Academy is an international, membership-based organization comprised of Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking recording artists, musicians, songwriters, producers, and other creative and technical recording professionals. The organization is dedicated to improving the quality of life and cultural condition for Latin music and its makers.
