POSITION SUMMARY

Job Objective:
The Dining Room Manager is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the dining room, including the selection, development and performance management of team members. In addition, this position will assist the Executive Chef and/or Director of Dining Services with the inventory and ordering of food and supplies, compliance with sanitation standards, supervision of all departmental staff, optimization of profits and ensure that residents are satisfied with their dining experience.
Essential Functions
- Oversee and manage all areas of the dining room and make final decisions on matters of importance to residents
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
- Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and services
- Maintain professional image, including dining room cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
- Ensure positive customer service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to mediate dissatisfied residents
- Ensure that personnel and payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain a safe working and resident environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
- Manage shifts which include, daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
Requirements:
- Must successfully pass the mandated level 2 background screening
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to pass the pre-employment reference checks
- Must be able to provide applicable documentation(s) for I-9 in order to establish identity and authorization to work in the U.S
- Covid-19 vaccination is a requirement of employment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Willingness to work with the elderly in a senior living environment
- Effectively communicate with residents, guests, associates, and supervisors
- Must be able to work on all Holidays and for pre-planned special events
ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY:
- Works primarily indoors in a climate-controlled setting
- Possible exposure to chemicals as identified in the MSDS Manual
