This job requires flexible 20 hours per week. Job duties can be completed remotely, if preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Develop programs, policies and procedures related to nutrition services required by and/or which comply with CRFC and Medicaid regulations for supervised group living
  • Provide staff In-Service training, as required, to ensure appropriate implementation of nutrition services, programs, policies and procedures for supervised group living, supported living and day service staff
  • When needed supervised living program menus, utilizing RDA’s as interpreted in the Indiana Diet Manual, to ensure conformance with CRFC and Medicaid regulations
  • Monitor and evaluate supervised group living client’s planned and modified diets to ensure compliance with physician’s orders
  • Maintain and/or monitor the maintenance of all necessary records, reports and client files as related to nutrition services to ensure compliance with CRFC and Medicaid regulations
  • Participate in annual Case Conferences and/or staffing, as needed, as part of the interdisciplinary team
  • Monitor the development and implementation of nutrition-related IPP goals, objectives and instructional activities established at the annual Case Conference
  • Advise clients in supervised and supported living program (as requested) of Medical Nutrition Therapy
  • Provide training to clients and staff as needed in regards to diet orders in Medicaid waiver and supervised living setting
  • Provide training and instruction to clients with Nutritional Counseling as outlined in their ISP. Provide documentation for N.C. in compliance to the rule
  • Evaluate supervised group living and supported living clients for choking risk, as needed
  • Educate supervised group living and supported living clients on normal nutrition, menu planning and dysphagia as needed
  • Provide orientation for Nutrition, food safety in purchasing, cooking and serving, sanitation & overview of dysphagia and GERD
  • Most job duties may be completed in a remote setting, if preferred.
Qualifications
  • Must be a Registered Dietician and a Certified Dietician by the State of Indiana.
  • Have a BS or BA degree with a major in Dietetics.
